The God of the Woods

by Liz Moore

This is a great mystery/ thriller about a family who owns a huge plot of land with a summer camp on it and goes through the mysterious disappearances of the 2 children of the family. It is told through multiple perspectives and has twists and turns I did not see coming. It was a little hard to get through at times but it was amazing and I recommend for a cozy summer mastery thriller.

Under the Magnolias

by T. I. Lowe

I did not think I was going to like this book going into it b ut it turned into a great story about an oldest daughter who takes on the responsibility of her mother and trying to hide her fathers sickness from the town. This is a great story about community and how powerful it can be.

Everything Is Tuberculosis

by John Green

John Green is a famous fiction author but this is a great transition into a non-fiction piece. This is a great example of how a fiction author can tell factual things through a great story. it felt as though it was lacking some times but overall it is a great book that educates on a disease that many thing as eradicated, but it is definitely not.

She thinks she has finally got her life on track but then her past shot back up and starts throwing her plans for a loop. This book is amazing and so descriptive an has such an amazing insight into such a beautiful and rich culture. I loved learning about the ways of women during this time period and Lakshmi has thoughts and feelings that we all as humans struggle with everyday and it was an amazing story to follow along with!

Never Flinch

by Stephen King

This book was such an interesting read. I love how King always keeps up with the times and includes modern references to relate to his newer audiences while staying true to his ways. Although there are returning characters, this book stands alone perfectly so don\’t hesitate for that reason!

Home Is Where the Bodies Are

by Jeneva Rose

In my own opinion Jeneva Rose never misses. She is the amazing author of the perfect marriage series and the sequel the perfect divorce. This story though was twisty and turny and through me through so many loops! It was a book that really dives into the dark sides of family, love, and deception. It follows three siblings as they navigate the loss of their mother and the mysterious disaperence of their father and a childhood freind of there\’s years earlier. One sister is the sister who stayed and took care of their mother, their brother, has run away from their home town and made something of himself, and the last sister is a struggling addict. So many character and so many deep meanings hidden within this book. I highly recommend!
