WOW. WOW. WOW. I can\’t stop thinking about this book. The whole way through you\’ll be asking yourself, is this real? or not real? The ending will make you mad, but I loved the interactive side of it, the code breaking, figuring out morse code and deciphering the map was such a fun caveat to simply reading the book. I will be pondering this one for the foreseeable future

I read Tender is the Flesh by this same author a few months ago and really loved her writing. This is a horror that follows a woman through her time at a convent after the world has succumbed to global warming. But is the sisterhood she joined REALLY being honest about the state of the world outside the convent walls? A lot of political parallels and through provoking scenes with a side of horror. I recommend, but check your trigger warnings on this one! The ending is brutal.

Oh my gosh this book was so FUN. I listened to it on audio (highly recommend) and the narrator did a great job bringing the characters to life. The world ends, and turns into a giant video game. You follow Carl and his ex girlfriend\’s cat, Doughnut as they make their way through the levels of this new world. Think Hunger Games, but with way more comedy and a video game POV.
