This book follows along with a henna artist in 1950s Jaipur. She has ran from her old life and built a new one all on her home, fleeing from na dangerous marriage. She thinks she has finally got her life on track but then her past shot back up and starts throwing her plans for a loop.
This book is amazing and so descriptive an has such an amazing insight into such a beautiful and rich culture. I loved learning about the ways of women during this time period and Lakshmi has thoughts and feelings that we all as humans struggle with everyday and it was an amazing story to follow along with!
Never Flinch
This book was such an interesting read. I love how King always keeps up with the times and includes modern references to relate to his newer audiences while staying true to his ways. Although there are returning characters, this book stands alone perfectly so don\’t hesitate for that reason!
Home Is Where the Bodies Are
In my own opinion Jeneva Rose never misses. She is the amazing author of the perfect marriage series and the sequel the perfect divorce. This story though was twisty and turny and through me through so many loops! It was a book that really dives into the dark sides of family, love, and deception. It follows three siblings as they navigate the loss of their mother and the mysterious disaperence of their father and a childhood freind of there\’s years earlier. One sister is the sister who stayed and took care of their mother, their brother, has run away from their home town and made something of himself, and the last sister is a struggling addict. So many character and so many deep meanings hidden within this book. I highly recommend!

A Little Life
Easily the most beautifully written book I\’ve ever read. This story and its characters will stick with me for a very long time, maybe forever. It took me a long time to read it because it is VERY depressing at times, so definitely check the trigger warnings on this one. It will change you.
Pretty Girls
