Forget Me Not Cover

Forget Me Not

by Stacy Willingham

I was thrilled to get my hands on the latest Stacy Willingham book, Forget Me Not! The story opens with the main character, Claire, being summoned back home to care for an injured parent, however she hasn\’t returned home in a long time due to the trauma of her sister\’s disappearance/suspected murder. Once returning home, she locates some clues which lead her to Galloway Farm where she hopes to uncover more details regarding her sister\’s disappearance. Will she find answers or find herself in a dangerous situation of her own attempting to dig up past secrets? I enjoyed the suspense of the interweaving stories as both present and past were connected. This seemed to be a slower read for me compared to her past novels however it could have just been related to life and not due to the story itself. 4 ⭐️ and I definitely recommend you reading this if you like a twisty, suspenseful novel!

Beach House Rules

by Kristy Woodson Harvey

Need a light beach read? This is for you! Kristy Woodson Harvey does an excellent job writing relationships in her books and this story about the importance of new friendships for both young and old was heartwarming but also packed with some suspense! Charlotte\’s \”perfect\” family finds themselves in financial trouble when her husband is being investigated by the FBI and they find support from the \”mommune\” in unexpected ways. I did enjoy this but it didn\’t quite hit me as emotionally as other books she has written- however I do recommend it for those looking for a light, clean, summer read!

Rage

by Linda Castillo

This is one of my favorite series! I\’m always eager to travel back to Painters Mill, OH to immerse myself in Kate Burkholder\’s police work involving the Amish community. This was another 4 star for me, immediately grabbed my attention and was a very quick read! If you haven\’t picked up a Linda Castillo book, I recommend checking out this series- this one was another solid addition to her series.

The God of the Woods

by Liz Moore

This is a great mystery/ thriller about a family who owns a huge plot of land with a summer camp on it and goes through the mysterious disappearances of the 2 children of the family. It is told through multiple perspectives and has twists and turns I did not see coming. It was a little hard to get through at times but it was amazing and I recommend for a cozy summer mastery thriller.

Under the Magnolias

by T. I. Lowe

I did not think I was going to like this book going into it b ut it turned into a great story about an oldest daughter who takes on the responsibility of her mother and trying to hide her fathers sickness from the town. This is a great story about community and how powerful it can be.

Everything Is Tuberculosis

by John Green

John Green is a famous fiction author but this is a great transition into a non-fiction piece. This is a great example of how a fiction author can tell factual things through a great story. it felt as though it was lacking some times but overall it is a great book that educates on a disease that many thing as eradicated, but it is definitely not.
